Attending this event?

We host this conference as an investment in the most important educational resource that America has—the classroom teacher. We are honored that you will join us. It is our hope that what you see, hear, do, and learn at this conference will motivate and inspire you to continue the pursuit of mathematics with your students and colleagues!

The conference will be held at the beautiful Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport Hotel in Burlingame, California. Just five minutes from San Francisco International Airport. The LEED® Gold certified hotel has easy access to Highway 101 and offers a complimentary shuttle to SFO.

  • Registration for the conference and pre-conference sessions are closed.
  • Reservations for the CPM Block of Rooms is closed. You can still book rooms at the Hyatt Regency at their regular price. No breakfast is included when reserving rooms this way.

Making G.A.I.N.s CPM Global Perspectives

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Our current generation of students is said to be the most connected, yet disconnected youth in history. Making G.A.I.N.s stands for “Global Awareness by Investigating Numbers,” and was started during my journey as a US State Department Global Educator last year. It is imperative to build a global mindset into the classroom and encourage awareness with respect to current world issues and how math helps us identify them, understand them, and create potential solutions to them.  I will share lessons our team has created and give you resources to start thinking about creating your own global connection.
