Are you interested in Continuing Education Credit? You may earn one continuing education unit (not academic credit) through Western Oregon University for attending the conference. For more information go to the CPM Continuing Education Credit Information webpage or pick up the credit application in Sequoia A.

In order to be eligible for this credit you must:

  • Confirm attendance through Kickup for both Saturday and Sunday.

  • Attend a session during each of the time periods, including the Keynote (Saturday morning) and the Ignite Session (Sunday afternoon).

  • Submit Session Feedback Forms for all of the sessions that you attend.

  • Submit a Conference Feedback Form at the end of the Ignite session.

  • Submit the Reflection and action plan submission form.

Confirm Conference Attendance: 

  1. Go to the Kickup website.

  2. Log in with the email you used to register for the conference.

  3. Click "Confirm Attendance at Event."

  4. Enter the Attendance Code, and click "Submit."

Pre-Conference Session 2: Bold Leadership in Mathematics: Professional Learning for Building and District Level Administrators who Supervise and Support CPM Teachers
Pre-Conference Session 2: Separate registration required. Designed for building and district-level administrators, this 6-hour professional learning experience will explore the research behind student-centered problem-based learning, the professional progression for CPM teachers, critical look fors in a strong CPM classroom, and tools designed to build capacity in CPM teachers. Time will also be spent on resources and approaches that support the involvement of parents and the extended community in the vital work of providing excellent mathematics education to our secondary students.

Tips, Tricks, and Treats—How to Effectively Teach TWO lessons in ONE Block!
Most CPM lessons are designed for a 50-minute class, however, several of us teach on a block schedule. This means TWO lessons in ONE day, yikes! During this session, I will share several of the tricks I have used to effectively get two lessons into one block. From grading homework to mid-class closures to modified lessons, this session will be packed with tips that you can take back to your classroom and use right away! This will be especially helpful to those just starting their CPM journey!
